The qualification trains creative artists for high-quality artistic and creative work with older and older people. The goal of the qualification is to empower people working in the third and fourth phases of life and thus to give older people access to artistic practice and their creativity and to encourage them to participate in society further. In-service training provides in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of how to work artistically with older people, either in fine arts or dance / movement. And this in different places and in different contexts, such as in cultural institutions, neighborhood centers, socio-cultural centers, old-day centers, nursing homes, in an open studio as well as in their previous occupational relationships. This creates frameworks in which individual life experiences are incorporated and valuable knowledge is preserved and communicated. Intergenerational and / or intercultural aspects can also be part of the approaches. The qualified art educators actively contribute to the coexistence of people in a region and make a decisive contribution to shaping demographic change with culture.
