Description

GIM is a receptive music-psychotherapeutic method where Music is seen as a co therapist. GIM is a psychodynamic and transforming dyadic method. The client listens in a sligtly altered state of consciousness to (mostly) classical music and is invited to explore his imagery with the help of the therapist who keeps a dialog with the client while listening, in oder to support the dynamic development of the imagery, encourage the emotional expression and support mentalization processes.
